Hmmm DeathFox007 you seem to have problems with treating people properly.
Try a bit of tact if you find something 'wrong' with what someone says. Also if you attempted to use proper english instead of slang, your points might be viewed with less skepticism.
Do understand that in a way you kind of ran into a crowd yelled at someone telling them there view is stupid. How would you respond to something like that? Please be considerate and polite as everyone else should be to you. Unless you like to be told your view is stupid. I can understand saying "well I am not sure that's a good way to view it", but not "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard". A definately different method of delivery it may also have different results.
Keep also in mind that people here are from different countries, different ages, etc. you never know who you might be insulting inadvertantly with your use of the vernacular. (although I really doubt Bill Gates would visit here :D )

Well I am no expert at DS sales or demographics, if you wish to provide sources for such expert descriptions of who buys what and general ownership of the DS in Japan, it might help what you are trying to say.
I'm a die hard console addict and I am considering a DS just to play with home brew game design on it. I have a tungsten E2 with a few 1G SD cards I'm using for a programming project so it might be a while (toys :) ).

Anyhow have some acurate statistics of who buys the DS and for what purpose? I really think people buy things because they want them, the reason they want them may be 'it's cool' or in my case it's "hey I can port .... to it!"

Ok let me set a few things straight.

I didn't mean the DS was better than the PSP. I only meant it was doing better in Japan (sales wise) than the PSP. I think they are both great :p

I don't want to start posting sales charts in my posts! :p

Yes that might become like ... well 'my PSP can beat up your DS' kind of logic. I saw they have a version Medievil for it .. that game was a blast. (still play it too :D )

Links to them would be OK.
However you did clarify what you were saying so :) I guess we won't have to burn you at the stake for being heretical :)

Cyb, throw down that mask: you're Mr Gates himself trying to take over the world via Emutalk... okay okay, played way too much Hitman Blood Money, I guess, thus the thing with disguises.

Anyway, PSP and DS are targeted at two very different stereotypes of gamer: one, like myself, who couldn't care less about graphics and gets entranced while playing Phoenix Wright, and the other who wants to play an uber-detailed GTA on the move. Make your choice, but keep it quiet: there's people at work, here.
