I posted this in another thread, but no one has viewed it and it's been more than 24 hours. I'm sorry, but please help.

Hey, I've been trying a VERY long time to get my awsome controller to play NES, SEGA, etc. games with my POV pad! Now, some emulators such as ZSNES, VBOY Advance, and most N64 emulators allow me to achieve this mode of controlling, but I can't it with GENS, NNNESTER, FCE ULTRA, etc. It just gets annoying using the stick on old games, and I'd REALLY like an alternative. Please help me. I understand that some joysticks let you switch between using the pad and the stick, but mine doesn't. Again, please help me!

If joytokey works with your POV, then you can always use that. Map keys to the POV then map those same keys in whatever emu you're using.

I think I have the same pad as you so..

Go to your saitek control panel, and while you're in it, hit the "digital" button next to thr "rumble" button. Try to control with it. ;)

HEY! I reinstalled it and it works now! Thanks man! Just please help me with ONE thing...When my controller was improperly installed it would still rumble AND I used the digital button as start and the "shift" button as a "select type" button. Now I can't do that anymore and I'm basically two buttons short for most games. I REALLY hate pushing in the analog sticks for buttons. PLEASE help me out!

Yeah, Saitek's line has a true 8-way POV hat, and that fucks over some emulators.

I managed to get Matt Kendora to add explicit support for POV hat diagonals in Snes9x's config... but that's about it.

P2500? Excellent controller. Many people have had install issues with it, but I was fortunate enough to not run into them. The only problem I have had, in fact, is a shutdown issue where the computer won't turn off if the controller is plugged in. The tech guy at Saitek couldn't figure it out, so now I just plug it in only when I use it. Anyway, had I known this was your controller too, I would have had the same advice as CiC. I have no idea about the two buttons though, sorry. Until you mentioned it I didn't know it was possible to use them as normal buttons.
