So I try to play Smash Bros on Project 64, but that didn't go too well.

Then I get 1964 today.

But when I run at anything higher than 320 by 300 (or something) in video resolution (the lowest setting), I get sound with quick pauses inbetween.

Then there is the problem of Samus' bullet not being there. When I charge it up, there is an extremely small dot and when I shoot it it is invisible.

I have 1.5 Ghz, Pentium 4, 128 MB Ram, GeForce 2 something or other, and Windows ME.

I also have the Jabo 3D6 plugin for video, the AudioHLE for Audio, and the Noote thing I think for input. Now when I moved the Jabo plugin from PJ64 to 1964, it changed the video resolution window, is that ok? And I swear the input thing was different until I moved the plugin. Now I can change my settings for input. But maybe I am just stupid.

Can anyone help me with some settings or something to make my games the best looking and running at the same speed as an N64?

All you guys are doing is looking at the message.

Don't expect that everyone that reads your thread will always have the answer.

for the samus problems, you need to use the glide64 plugin + evoodoo glide wrapper.

my advice is to switch from ME. that is possibly THE worst iteration of windows. and may be part of the problem. also make sure you are using the latest nvidia drivers.

good luck!

128 MB of Ram is sufficiant but, it can also depend on what game your trying to run, as each game calls for a different amount of Ram to run, ill re-post a bit of info on basic game requirements (breakdown) of Ram that Schibo had posted quite q while back (just good info :)

Memory: 1964 uses 16MB(Compiler)+8MB(Compiler)+3~4MB(Compiler)+8/16MB(2* RDRAM Size 4MB or 8MB)+4MB(TLB Table)+1MB(Other Memory Segments)+SizeOfROM.

For Mario 64, ROM Size=8MB,RDRAM=4MB, 1964 will use 16+8+3~4+8+4+1+8 = 48~49MB

For Zelda2, ROM Size=32MB, RDRAM=8MB, then 1964 will use 16+8+3~4+16+4+1+32 = 80~81MB

For Conker, ROM Size=64MB, RDRAM=4MB, then 1964 will use 16+8+3~4+8+4+1+64 = 104~105MB.

And as you can see if your trying to run Conkers BFD, the game running uses 105 MB, and if you have anything else running in the background in Windows, your going to be running short :)

So where can I get the right plugins?

My dad said that we will be upgrading to XP and that need 256 MB Ram that comes with it if I recall. So then I will be set for sure.

Now I just need the right plugins that will work well for me now.

Anyone have any sites I can go to or the correct names of them?

O.M.F.G. That was so funny. *cough SARCASM*

I don't know why I put the word fast in there, maybe so people would look at it I guess.

Keep your stupid remarks to yourself.

Well i have a p111 871mhz 256 ram gf2mx 400.
To get my games running best i use for:
1964->Jabo's graphics plugin, Azimers audio .30, Jabos direct input.
Pj64-> default plugins (i.e. the plugins that come with it)
most games run at n64 speed, although sound could be better.
Azimers latest post suggests that audio will be improved drastically.
Oh yeah make sure your drivers are up to date 4 your vid card.

Do you have a clue what you're talking about?

No it's probably the audio plugin... that audioHLE is somewhat outdated... try something else 'cause you've got the specs.
