I Need an updated Game FAQ file?

Is there an updated Game FAQ file around anywhere?
The one that came with PJ64 only has information about 34 roms!

I noticed that theres a update link on the right but the link is invalid.

Also it would be good to get a list of whet roms work best with certain emulators.

Is there any emu that plays mario tennis perfect?
And what about Banjo Kazooie's core problem? Is there an emulator that can handle it?

EDIT: After reading through these forums for about an hour I have discovered that I actually need a .RDB file that will update the way PJ64 handles roms, Is that correct?

Will this .RDB file also add more games to the gamefaq file?
I really need a list of what settings to use for each rom. It just takes too long to use trial and error for every different game.

Thanks.

Have you got the service pack for PJ64? Get it at:

http://pj64.emulation64.com/support/

It has updated RDB, GameFAQ and others. It doesn't have a lot more games in the GameFAQ, but you can find most issues in the PJ64 feedback thread anyway. If you need to know which plugin to use, just search Emutalk to find settings.

As for Mario Tennis, no plugin supports it very well, Jabo's and Rice's plugin being about tied on my system.

Try 1964 for B-K if you have an unexpectedly low frame rate.

Jabo's plugin with force normal blending on works neat with mario tennis.
The banjo kazooie core problem, i think, seems mostly fixed in 1964.

Thanks, I didnt know about the Service Pack.
The thing is though, it hasnt added any more info on games and stuff. Where exactly should I be looking for this new info?
Ive looked in settings\rom notes and the game faq!

I was refering to the extra Master Quest related info. It's under Ocarina of Time. The GameFAQ would be h-u-g-e if it detailed all 1669 N64 roms. Just the most common roms people complain about were added. Searching Emutalk is, in a way, exactly like an extended GameFAQ.

The gamefaq was only designed so people would know about common known issues, as stated. They did not include all roms because partly there was no need, and nor does all games contain issues.
So in short, you can't add more games to it; it is as it should be.

Cool, Thanks
I'm going to document everything from now on and make my own list of what settings to use for each rom.

Some games that are listed dont go into enough detail eg. Starfox

I'm doing this for my own benefit so that I know what emulator and plugin is best for my roms and video card that is all.
