How to make images from original games?

Hi,

I'm trying to make ROMs of original DC games I own so I can play them in Chankast. I tried using Nero to make an image and then mount it in Daemon tools 4 but that did not seem to work. I then tried an app called ExoBoot that I found on these forums but that didn't work either.. v1.2 gave some weird errors in the DOS box, and v1.3 said my game (Sonic Adventure) was not a proper disc because it did not contain any .bin files??

So how do I create roms of my original games so I can play them in Chankast?

Thanks for any help!

You need a Dreamcast broadband adaptor or a Dreamcast coders cable (and a Dreamcast) to do it. You can find some on ebay or other online shops.
That's because ordinary drives cannot read Dreamcast disks.

...they are ISO
...CD images actually. ISO [9660] is just a standard for CD-ROM media (8+3 characters, 2352 bytes in each sector). Joliet system is an extension to this by providing 64 characters as maximum (on CD-ROM that is).

The file format makes ultimately no difference.

....

But whatever.
