How many of the older members have tried "Dolphin"?

I am more interested in the technical side of emulators than playing games with it. Especially at the time I had an old computer it was much more fun to speed games up and mess around with the (advanced) settings than playing them. After I got my 3.0 ghz I thought a would get the ultimate emulation experience, but I was a bit dissatisfied and that was the moment I realized I am a tech dude, and not a gamer
sniff... me too. it was so much fun trying to get the best possible optimization to speed up zsnes on a P133 (boot into DOS woo!). then i got a celeron and everything was full speed, which wasn't nearly as fun. and now i just use pj64 for everything... waaah...

LMAO wow I haven't seen a post from you for a very long time..
Thought we got shot of you
I mean :shifty: you left us all :p

Oh and mind the language you are embarrassing the real Ladies on the Board ;)

I've been posting here off and on recently, silly. Just not in THIS particular part of the forum... most of the local topics don't interest me.

And I'm a real lady... well, fine, I'm a girl but not exactly a lady, hahaha. :flowers:

And besides that... have you never heard an irritated, PMS'ing girl talk before? Heee~ We can be quite... vulgar.

I hate everyone who uses Dolphin to play games they should be buying instead. Fuck you all. You know who you are.

Other than that, it's doing great... but personally I think that all of the current gen emu authors should hold back on public releases until the next round of consoles is released.

Buzz off. Beat it. Shoo.

Damn, how many days left?

Not sure if it's really funny but it's 05:12 here and it's hilarious :D Humour at it's best :satisfied

Atm dolphin doesn't work for me but as everyone else I guess I have a couple of those things you could use with dolphin, however as most of us I also have a lot of original games so take your ranting elsewhere. Sure piracy is a bad thing but it's not gonna stop...

I havent tried it. To be honest with you guys, I come here for the conversation (and sometimes debates Alpha ;) ) and not for the emulation anymore. I'm more of an MMORPG guy now, emulation has just kinda lost its buzz for me.

That's why I brought this up for the older members. For myself and apparently a lot of others, this seems to have brought back a lot of said buzz and I'd recommend at least trying it to anyone who feels like they lost interest a long time ago.

Well I suppose what I'm more not interested in is trying to get the games. Finding the N64 games was a pain and I just dont feel like doing it again with even bigger files. Also I dont own any of the games myself.

Hmm, point well taken then. I still have horrific flashbacks of hunting down ROM's while stuck in `pop-up-ad Hell`. ;)
But again as I said, this isn't necessarily a bad point right now. It's easy-ish for those who own the legitimate games and want to see Dolphin working just for the sake of it to go and do it without having to resort to those sites, without being too easy for the "Someone plz tell me where I get free game cube games so I can play on dolphin?!!" brigade.

Come on, I don't think any long-timer will have any real problem finding the games....

Probably not, I never used websites in the first place. I just havent seen any game I would like on Gamecube.
