Hey, I just recently downloaded the PD rom along with a couple of different emulators, the only one that's worked to any extent is the project 64 v.1.5. It'll show the begining of the game like the expansion pack detected and the nintendo and rare logo. After that it'll got to the cut scene a play for a couple of seconds, start skipping, and freeze. If I skip the cut scene the screen'll turn blue and freeze. Altho it seems like my computer doesn't have enough power I dont think that's the problem (atleast I dont want to admit it is). I have a AMD Athlon 1400 Mhz processor and 256 MB of RAM and if there is any problem with my computer not being able to handle it I'm sure it lyes in the graphics card which, to tell you the truth, I'm not sure what it is. Does anyone know of something I could try if the problem's not in the graphics card?

Lesson1: How to detect gfx card: Hit Alt+Pause (Break). It'll show system. Goto device manager. Look under screen drivers or something. Your gfx should be listed there. Post it here.
Lesson2: The reason I think the game screws up can be that of a bad rom. Check it with goodn64.

ok, it says it's the S3 Graphics Inc. ProSavage, at least I think that's the graphics card.Something crappy that came with the computer. I've been thinking about getting a new graphics card but I dont wanna spend a lot of money on it, cuz I dont play enough computer games for it to be worth my money. Is there a cheap graphics card that can handle n 64 roms?

videologic xs,geforce4mx i think. they are both quite cheap and are good all round performers

I'm having problems, with perfect dark in project 64 when i pick up an ammo box. The game freezes and i can't play further. I have an amd XP 2000 and a geforce 4 mx 440. Can any1 help me fixing this?

no problem show.personally id go for the geforce.
darkliquid - it could possibly be a bad rom. theres a program you can download that will tell you if your rom is good or not - but sorry i cant remember what its called or where to get it.its mentioned elsewhere on the forum though so look around mate
