How do i run CBFD smoothly?

I was wondering how to run conkers bad fur day smoothly...because when i play it...it takes forever to load when going to new places and the game slows down and stuff.

CBFD is a high pc specs game, having a pc with at least 256MB RAM, a +1GHz processor and a Geforce or Radeon helps a lot!

yup, i meet all those requirements and the game may still slow down from time to time.

post your specs.. try it without sound or with a lower resolution, update drivers, shut down all other running programs...

nope, I have 256 MB RAM and 1200 mhz AMD, and I have the exact same problems...

especially bad when:
- entering new areaes
- diving
- when fighting big or many enimies at a time

I tried setting the resolution so low that it looked like a bad snes game, but it actually didn't help, so I think it's a core problem, are u capable of fixing stuff like that Witten, if u are, you are THE MAN!!!!j64:

I use 1964 (0.7.3 - haven't tested it with 0.8.3, yet), increase the CF a bit. I can even hear the voices correctly!

BTW: The resolution doesn't really matter, because I got the same results on a Voodoo³! It is more CPU-intensive.

It would be recommended to get more ram since that will get you poor performance. Get at least 512 mb ram.
