I am starting to think that 1964 will never be released the rate thigns are going. I figured that the beta testing was going to be done 2 months ago. I think that by the time that all of us stop agonizing the beta testers is the time that it will be released.

I say by the year 2005 it will be released now

Can some of you stop trying to estimate when it will be released,the testing is still going on but we will see when they decide to release it.

the new 1964 is really faster and better than the 0.8.5 one...
Each new beta includes more and more speed and stability...
Don't worry about the req. If you can play (even a bit slow) the 0.8.5 one, then you will can play perfect your favourite N64 rom in the 1.0.0 one...

isn't this next release going to be .9.9, not 1.0.0? that's what i read on here somewhere.

nope 0.99 was the beta that might be released (according to the 1964 website)... but probably not since its already going under beta testing. 1.0 is the *maybe* final version

1964 1.0 is the final version,after that there will be no new 1964 updates,but i'm not sure if schibo and rice really want to release 1964.99 beta before 1.0.

I may not be them, but if they were smart enough they would. They could resolve everyones individual problems with releasing the 0.99, and then have pretty much everything fixed by the final V1.0

Ok, I have 2 points to make.

#1. I'm tired of all the crap. Schibo has made up his mind how he wants to do this, and nothing you guys say is helping him any.

#2. I would think that, since he and rice are the programmers doing all the work on this emulator you love so much, that you MIGHT make the assumption that he KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING, and let him run the project his way without pestering him.

I agree with karth just leave schibo and rice alone now with no pestering because they are doing a great job so far,the beta is doing great and everyone can look forward to see how good their work is paying off when they decide to release it.

I agree, it´s fair to let Schibo work on the project if we aren´t helping, he will give us a surprise when we don´t expect, so calm down...
