The camera isn't fast enough. To take a picture of that resolution, the camera would have to process for quite some time. When I took photography I would take a camera, a tripod, and a shutter release cable. I'd go down to the loop at night and set up the camera to aim at the oncoming traffic from the side of the road and lock open the shutter for 5 minutes. You get some very interesting pictures.
