hi, new to pj64. help is needed

wassup everybody.
well i was hoping anyone of u guys can help
me. well i got a new computer its a laptop p4 2.4ghz,
512mb of ram and a ati radeon 7500 16mb grfx card.
i am using pj64 and ran starfox 64 for the first time.
well it runs fine but there are certain periods of slowdown.
graphics seem to be perfect but at times the frame rate drops.
what do i do to fix this problem? do i need to get a new
driver or something or can i just tweak some of the settings.
i dont really kno what i am doing but i was hoping any of
u can be any of assistance... help is very much appreciated.

hey its me again.
i actually played some more and found out that there are
graphical flaws also. the textures seems to be unstable
at different parts of the game and also the periodically
the framerates drop. PLEASE someone help me out. i need
to kno if its a driver issue or otherwise. thanks.

It's your graphics card. The Radeon 7xxx series have been known to be bad with PJ.
