hi...GC>X-Box? Confuzed.

Hi, this is my first post. i have been searching for weeks on the net, and reading heaps of the posts here, but still cant find what i want to know.
i want to know if there is any way i can play my GC game cds on my X-Box, becaus i have the discs, but the cube isnt plugged in, and i have to fiddle too much to plug it in instead of the x-box, and im lazy, so me and my other half were wondering if its possible yet, coz hes gettin tires of havin to rearrange everythink behind the telly whenever i want to play a game. :huh:

we were naughty, so the xbox is modified, and we can save PS2 games and Xbox games to the HDD, and were told we can do it with GC games too, but havent a clue how. please help?

but seriously, it's not possible, and highly unlikely a gamecube emulator will be made/ported to the xbox, even if it was, the game speed would be very slow, even if it used HLE

OK, I've done a little bit of research into what DeusExBabe is saying and I 'THINK' all he is saying is some people have found a way to copy your PS2 games to the X-Box hard drive. This however still doesn't help as far as playing them on your X-Box it just keeps the image there, just as can be done with your standard PC (they are just CD's or DVD's depending on the color of the disc...)

However EVEN if this is the impied meaning , you'll note how X-Box and PC hardware is very similar, the odds of getting the X-Box DVD-Drive to read a Gamecube disc is very very <insert a hell of alot of very's here> slim (being an optimistic, and never saying never I guess new firmware COULD in THEORY be possible). Then there is still the problem of writing a Gamecube emulator for the X-Box itself so the image could be played. I hope you're seeing the problem here DeusExBabe.

Not that anything is impossible, just that there are a hellish amount of hurdles to overcome here.

DeusExBabe you need to realise EVEN with a 'cusom modified' system, you would still need emulation software written to play the PS2 games on your X-Box (unless there is a PS2 built into your X-Box enclosure). Sorry.

It's quite possible they merely mean copying games to a computer harddrive. However, theres a disc out that lets you copy the PS2 games to a PS2 hdd and play them from there now, just like in an Xbox...

I totally agree with you there, I was just hoping maybe she just stuck her foot in her mouth when she made the latter statement about actually playing the PS2 games on the X-Box.

Yes you can do it , but you must make an ps2 emulator for xbox and change xbox's cpu to the best out there, and same with ram and graphic card .....man this need alot of time and money!!! :yucky:

Unless the mod involves a PS2 being sellotaped to the underside of an XBox, there is no way you can play PS2 games on an XBox. Ever. XBox is too slow even when fully upgraded to run a PS2 emulator, and there isn't an actual PS2 emulator for XBox anyway.
