Hey i I'm a moron but can anyone help?

hey im trying to just get chankast to work but i cant manage it. err msg say entry point could not be found in some dll file. ddraw.dll i think ive read all the threads that might help but i just cant figure it out. my processor is nowhere near good enuf but i figure i should still be able to at least boot it up. any ideas help or input appreciated.

Right. Ive reinstalled direct x 9.0b end user runtime or something coz thats all i could find. is that even the right one? the file name is dxwebsetup.exe i downloaded it from microsoft.com.

yes, it's the good one... you still have the same problem ?

yeah 'fraid so. i was reading on microsoft.com that it was something to do with the virtual memory needing to access a certain address. they said to make sure it could access it then try and run it. :huh: but i dont know whether thats relevant

hmm... do you have a file named ddraw.dll in the chankast directory ? and if not, what is your operating system ?

no i dont. but when i was fiddling tryin to get it to work i first had the err msg need dll d3d9.dll so i downloaded that and put it into the chankast directory and now i get err msg we were talking about. my operating system is windows xp home edition.

lol, hey you're currently in vacations !!!

edit* d3d9.dl is needed, but not in the chankast directory, it's needed in windows/system32/ directory...
