Help with pj64k please

Hi, i was a mame addict and now i am hooked on n64. i really really want to go online with it. now heres the odd thing. i cannot use any other version of pj64 besides 1.3 but for some reason i can use this one. Now when i try to launce pj64K it says "not enough memory for jump cable" than i hit ok than it says failed to allocate memory. please help me i want to use this so bad i offer a gmail to the person who helps me as an extra added bonus. Thank you- your new regular.

seems like a pretty self explanatory problem to me. try closing all programs in your system tray.

you could try 1964 , it has online capabilities.

Also ensure Virtual Memory is handled by the system, or at the very least not set to a stupidly low amount

i do use 1964 but i want to use pj64 cause thats the most online played one

right click my computer then click properties-advanced-performance-advanced-virtual memory then make sure system managed size is checked.

oh and btw what i meant in my first post is that you need more memory. the rest was just a way to free some memory up

One last try (and a wild guess at that), try putting the .exe into Windows98 compat mode.

It if you have installed Microsoft Hotfix updates for your OS try uninstalling them one by one and rebooting your comp eachtime.
this way once you have it woking without the error you know exactly what hot fix if not caused the error.

Do you recommend to do this on all computers or just when having problems like the one described in this thread?

Mine is set at 1536MB (custom) for my E drive, while my C and H(external) are set at "no paging file".

I haven't got any problems but it'd be nice to know if it'll improve my system :bouncy:

It shouldn't make much difference either way.

If you had a lot of ram by default then 1526mb may be a bit too large even. All depends what you run, and how much physical memory you have.

how do i actually do online play thru kaillera?i cant figure it out...am i misssing something?
