help with evangelion 64

hopefully someone can help me
with mupen0.3, the evangelion 64 rom loads but theres no start button so i cant do much but watch the intro
with mupen0.5 it doesnt load. it just says rom is less than 4k
someone help i really wanna pay this game

be sure you have the ini file in your emu folder

wait the only files i have is
1.mupen64 {the emulator}
2. the readme
3. the evangelion rom file
i forgot to mention im using a mac
am i missing something?
