What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

help me on this plz and i will return the favor...

Hey what's good, I'm new to these forum and I've seen some great textures on this site, serioussly, I didn't think that n64 games could look so good. But anyway, I'm thinking of making some high resolution textures for Super Smash Brothers, totaly non-cartoonish textures, and I need some help on how to load custom textures on to the game, I've looked at the tutorials but it didn't help so please somebody help me on how to load this texture(starting out) on to a project 64 emulator.

Odd, could you tell me the exact name of the rom your using?

You could try ticking "try to use smaller textures (faster)" but that usually only fixes stage textures.

Ok, I think I found your problem:

And the texture name I gave you is the correct one, and the only one that will load the texture. You have to make sure the name of the texture is identical to the name it started with.

no you save it as a png. But like Data said, you gotta make sure your texture is just one layer and not the background layer :)

If you save it as a bitmap file it will not load at all.

Ok, here is what I would do If I were you.

Open you texture in photoshop, create a new layer, press Ctrl, Alt, Shift, E to duplicate that layer. Now delete the locked layer and save it. Make sure the name is the one I gave you.
