What version of daemon Tools are you using? You could try changing the CDRom plugin too... although it could be a corrupt image as well.

Try it with DT3.29, some people claim that it works better with Chankast.

...

Although I've never had problems with DT 4 and Chankast... maybe I'm just lucky or something.

well it no longer says cannot read TOC but now my emulator actually starts up. the problem im having now is that first it says (after mvc2 starts up) that there is no save space, press start to continue. i press my "start" button and nothing happens. now, after i close down chankast and try again the dream cast logo pops up but it keeps asking me to set the time and date. after i do that i press the "play" button. however it just keeps repeating itself. any ideas?

I think you have a wrong bios. What color is the swirl at the beginning?
The color of the BIOS shouldn't have any effect on it.

In any case, the reason why Chankast keeps asking "set date/time" over and over again is because the emulator fails to create Dc_flash.bin correctly. You need to find a fixed file.

try deleting chankast.cfg in the chankast folder then configure it again and set cd rom interfacexxx and select your cd drive then mount it:sombrero:
