that was a common thing with 9x OSes...there is an easy as hell fix, but I can't recall what it is exactly...

/me has been using NT based OSes for 3 years longer than these XP freaks came around :sly:

It was usualy a driver problem, I am just having a hard as hell time recalling what kind of driver problem. I think it usualy involved dos mode drivers (which communicate directly with the hardware) interfering with the protected mode drivers (which tell the OS what to do to the hardware). You need to look at what changes you may have made recently to your config.sys or autoexec.bat.

Meh...
i fixed it, god damn mobo drivers were the cause, i uninstalled them and reinstalled the original drivers, but my BIOS has updated successfully :D

no, but i will install WinXP Pro later on tonight :D
