Calv!n
Mr. Idea/Motivation
Hello everyone,
My name is Jonathan Janevski. I am 18 (19 July 30th), and I go by Calv!n on the internet.
I just currently registered here and I would like to say and introduce myself.
I like/love/am interested in the following:
-Counter-Strike (1.6 specifically)
-soccer
-friends/hanging out
-cars
-snowboarding
-music
-art/drawing
-cartoons/anime/movies/sports
-gaming/LANing
-Programming (C/C++, z80 ASM, TI-BASIC, XHTML, CSS, PHP (still learning))
-Computers/Technology/My PSP
I currently am admin/webmaster of a couple of sites that my friend and I run.
http://www.theping.org
http://www.thepiratelounge.net
They are dedicated to our belief that ~Knowledge should be free... ... so stay connected to your world!~ They are about hacking (not the n00b/skiddie malicious kind. Knowledge, and understanding), programming, PC knowledge, and just knowing more about stuff.
I LOVE to program. My love for programming started at a young age. I started drawing and designing games that I wanted to make, because I loved to game, so I thought, "Why not make my own?!" So I did. I finally found out how through the internet (ahh bless this gift!). My first programming started out by making games for Texas Instruments Calculators. I programming in BASIC, and then once I learned the limits of BASIC and how it wasn't powerfull enough, I moved on to assembly for the z80 microprocessor that ran the TI-83+. I programmed, made game or two, and lost interest. I moved onto C/C++. That is where I am now. I know quite a bit, but I am still learning. I would love to someday learn OpenGL. I love webdesign. I am currently learning to dev for my PSP. I love that thing to death, and I want to contribute to it and give to others. It's really being hacked and developed a lot more. That's why I programming http://www.theping.org so that it would fit perfectly on a PSP screen. xD Programming for the PSP feels a LOT like programming for TI calcs. That's why I am comfortable with it. I'm learning fast. It's great because you have a LOT more power to work with, and C/C++ is easier then z80 ASM, so I can perform stuff with simpler code.
My goal for this website is to learn a LOOOT more about programming. You guys seem to know a lot, and I'm hoping I can learn here, and share with you as well. I would REALLY love to learn how to hack my console hardware, and I would love to learn to program games for consoles and/or make emus. I have no idea where to start, but I would like to at least make 1 emu in my lifetime. No matter how simple it is. Hopefully I'll learn from looking around at this place. Thanks for the great site. I look forward to staying here for a while!
