Harvest Moon 64

When some events happen (like my friend get married or I get sick) the screen turn black! And some times a error apear, but i didn't get it. I f it appear again i post in here, but please, try to help me out here! Thanx!

PS: I have a NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX/MX 400, 256 HD and 1.8GHz

Use GoodN64+GoodWindows (Get bin.zip as well) at the bottom of the main page of the forum to scan the rom. If you get:

Harvest Moon 64 (U) [!]
Harvest Moon 64 (U) [f1] (PAL)
Harvest Moon 64 (U) [t1]
Harvest Moon 64 (U) [t1][f1] (PAL-NTSC)

Then its a good rom that should work.

Use Jabo's D3D6 1.5 Video plugin.
Could just be a known prob, like when the screen goes black in Bomberman 64, but I doubt it...

Thanx...the first time i run it was okey, but then, appeared this:

"Failed to load word 0
2

Verify ROM an ROM Settings"

What the hell I do?

Try this site. It has about verifying roms and other more technical stuff which you can ignore.

To start you off, GoodN64 is the tool of choice to verify roms. If a rom is bad, it has been dumped incorrectly, and so can have errors (like the ones you mentioned)

If the rom is declared good, then the next step is to change the settings of the emulator (plugins and their configuration)

If this fails then its a case of upgrading drivers for Graphics and Direct X, if the problem is still there, the emulator can't play the rom correctly for whatever reason.

I am pretty sure it is just a bad rom. I have a copy of Harvest Moon 64 on my computer and it plays flawlessly for me on pj64 1.5 with all default settings and filters.. Kinda lucky that way i guess.......

They should call GoodN64: "Good and BadN64" :satisfied

Seriously, by good rom I meant working rom... (If you ignore the help in PJ64 that is)
Better to have scanned a rom and it has [h1] [o2] [b3] [t4] etc.
than not to show up at all! Some people hack intros into roms, and these are are the real bad roms in my opinion ;)

You do know that it should be good to get any support. Of course, they may work, but that doesn't mean they WILL. It's not good to refer people to roms that "work". They should be "good".

Well, I played HM64 'till the final and it's ok... I'm Pretty sure that it's your rom that is not working... Try to scan it with GoodN64 and then if it don't have a [!] you will need to look for another one...
