Halo PC

I've got it, in advance, so far, well, maybe you need the multiplayer to REALLY appriciate it.

But, I do like it, it is intersting, but at the same time, it is just another FPS. I'm going to buy a legit copy so i can check out the online, but you know, meanwhile I'm playing the single player.

The few things im going to say are these:

1) the XBOX graphics beat the PCs with a stick, at least with my video card.

2) Master Chief sounds like stephen hawking in some of the cutscenes.

3) The Halo world is hella cool, to watch the planet circle up and over you and back down.

4) AI is shoddy? Enemies stand and look at you while youre ten feet away, and then finally attack?

5) I WANT THE ONLINE! Damn microsoft checking the CD keys....someone develope a LAN forwarder? Please?

Anyways, what little I've played so far is cool, with my only realy gripe being the AI a bit flawed at times, and the fact that the Autumn is like a damn maze to get out of.

Naturally, your card doesn't support DX 8.1 pixel shaders, which pretty much make Halo's graphic's what they are.

Actually, yeah i would wait 3 years rather than pay Willy G for trying to monopolize another market, which is bad for society as a whole.

The thing is, I really like emulation, which is why I'm here. I like playing console games on the PC, I like it better than PC games or better than console games on a console.

Besides the fact that it's fascinating, I enjoy playing games that are well made (console games) on a PC at much higher resolution.

And, I like PC controllers better than console controllers, though I do have an adaptoid incase my console friendly friends want the "real thing".

guess that's a semi valid argument, but to answer your question, no i don't support bungie, as they have never made a game for a system that i use that i liked.

now id software has gotten money from me a number of times though, sheerly for the sake of contrast.

vampire i just admitted to purchasing software.... i have purchased several id titles.

they make good software, for a platform that i endorse/use.

oh, and i've also purchased a copy of civ 2 which was good, threw away money on civ:ctp, which was crap, but civ 2 was so good that i gave it a chance.

other titles i've purchased:

GTA:vice city (PC version)
need for speed 3 hot pursuit (PC version)

everything else i use is open source.

in fact i pay for everything i use, that costs money.

now roms for a discontinued console however.....

ha ha ha rabble rouser, no i actually tried to sell the original box and disk etc. for CTP at a yardsale. nobody bought it even for $3!!!! they did buy a serious sam cd for $5 though....

i kept the quake 2 civ 2 disks... those games are classics that will last forever....

i wish they would open source civ 2 like they did quake 2. who knows how cool it could get?

No freaking duh i pirated it, notice the, "I will buy a legit copy".

However, after playing today online on the cracked servers, (THANKS FLX!!) i have determined I will NOT be buying it because, the game is craptastic.

Its incredibly unbalanced, its a bunch of LOLZ OMG!!! NEWBIEZZZ!!!111 running around with no clue as to how to play the game, and just running around in warthogs. Plus, the alien weapons are way to powerful while the human ones do next to nothing, the gravity is messed up, it lags like a son of a bitch, (im on high speed cable and i cant host more then 4 people) they FUCKED THIS GAME UP on PC, not worth the download, even though its only one disc.

this doesn't surprise me in the least. i had a bad feeling when halo was delayed for 3 years with virtually no valid reason that ms was TRYING to f it up so that xbox could have more success...

so this is ANOTHER reason not to buy an xbox and halo, and to wait for cxbx to play it well.

It's very glitchy. I'm sticking to the XBOX one I play at my mates.
BTW, yes I know the glitches will be fixed, but still, I don't see why I should bother with this considering I hated it when I had my XBOX.
It's only good 4+ Player.
