GUI for Selfboot

Sick. I can't believe this. I have been trying everything to get my games to run, reading through multiple threads only to find out that there is nothing I can do. I just bought a couple NTSC games (Soul Caliber, Virtua Striker 2 and Daytona USA) and had a hell of a time trying to get them to run. I was able to make an iso image (using Isoproducer) and mount it on Daemon Tools 3.29, but I ended up getting an audio warning that the disc is only to be used on the Dreamcast console. Also, the only files I can see upon inspection are:
"ABSTRACT.TXT", "BIBLIOGR.TXT", AND "COPYRIGH.TXT".

Don't ge me wrong, Chankast is an awesome emulator, but shouldn't it be able to play legitimate Dreamcast games bought from the store? For example, Epsxe is a playstation emulator that can do this. Maybe this will be available in a future release? I hope the makers of this emu don't take offense to this, as I realize Chankast is in its early stages (and has awesome compatibility already).

If anyone can help with this problem, I would really appreciate it.

Friend yes you have to rip it first but i suppose you don't have read the rules:

When you registered, you agreed to THE RULES of this forum.

So DO NOT
Ask for ISOs, ROMs, the BIOS, instructions on how to rip them, or tell people how to get them (this includes sending personal messages).

As long as I don't burn the ISO to a CD and use daemonTools instead, everything is A.O.K.

Will you fix more bugs and release the version 3.1 or whats with you bugfix?

Exoskeletor , if we use these self bootable images created your software , do we need the utopia disc in order to play ?
I dont own a dreamcast , so i dont have a Utopia boot disk, so is it possible to run the game with these self bootable images ?

If u don't own a dreamcast u dont have rights to use this emulator.

I am having troubles with your program. When ever i select mode 2 to make the image file from the data file. it always deletes my dummy file and gives me a image file around 200 mb instead of 700mb. No matter what option i pick it still deletes my dummy file. And it always freezes when i try to select my data folder.

ky_jelly, forget about rights !!!! my question is "is possible to play the dreamcast games on pc without using the dreamcast console" ?
why would any 1 use an emulator if they already own a dreamcast ?
I play psx cds on pc using epsxe even though i dont own a playstation , so is possible dreamcast games to play using self bootable discs ?

what i'm trying to tell u is it's illegal for u to use either chankast or epsxe (or any other emulator for that matter) if u dont own the original console. how could u have gotten the bios file if i dont actually have one yourself? (aside from borrowing a friends) and if u dont have one then why would u own any games? (aside from borrowing a friends) so the obvious answer here is u r pirating intilectual property and that is not allowed here.

well, in fact it's not a question of "allowed" or "not allowed" for dreamcast users on this forum, there is nothing like that in the rules, but you're right in the principle...

man, it seems you don't really understand... here, we are a sort of community, we are interesting by emulation, and by the dreamcast...
in your case, it seems you are only interesting by playing dreamcast games (and illegaly), so you should find another place where guys share your "logic"...

i think there's only going to be one answer to that question for you, and that is to try it yourself. wich is what you should have done in the first place instead of being so lazy

I am not a pirate , i just found the bios file on the internet and the REAL pirates are the ones who uploaded them
AND STOP BEING SO HOSTILE TO NEWBIES !!!

Hi guys. Im back. I was having a problem and i stay for 1 week in a hospital.im back and ready to continue my program. :)
Darkice if you have a dreamcast it's not illegal to download the bios.
This must stop here because in the end this thread will close and i don't think anyone want's that. Just avoid telling in the future that you don't have a dreamcast.
