graphics problem

when i play some games, for example: super smash bros, paper mario, castlevania legacy of darkness, and a few others, there are asscess violation popups saying that "while processing graphics data an exeption occured you may need to start the emulator" what do i do cause restarting the emulator isnt helping

you wouldn't happen to have an integrated Intel graphics chip, would you? If so, switch to Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin.

I find it odd that Intel graphics chips do this. Before I started using Mudlord Rice on my laptop for the frame skip, I used Jabo D3D8 and had no problems aside from speed.

Depends on the Intel chip. Some older Intel Extreme chips are only DX6 compliant and so may produce errors when using a plugin that uses any pixel shaders. It's a similar story with various S3/VIA/SiS graphics. Later versions of Intel graphics can support pixel shaders, so with the right drivers, they shouldn't have as many issues.
