I'm looking for some good SNES RPG games (i'm not asking for them, I just want some reccomendations on games). Does anybody reccomend any? The games i've beaten are:

Chrono Trigger
Super Mario RPG
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy III
Earthbound (favorite game)
Breath of Fire 1 & 2

So don't say the games above, thanks.

Play List:

Lufia 1 & 2

The RPG's you've beaten are among the greatest for SNES... these are really good, but perhaps less known, RPG's.

Star Ocean
Tales of Phantasia

The Lufia series is on PSX is it not?

Final Fantasy IV was the second RPG I ever played and I loved it. Not the best graphics, even for the SNES, but great storyline and I was very partial to the soundtrack too. In the US it was first released as Final Fantasy II and some stuff was taken out, so I recommend either playing a translated copy of the Japanese FF4 or a patched and de-dummied copy of the US FF2. You can get a translation or de-dummy patch over at Zophar's but, of course, you're on your own getting the ROM. Happy RPG-ing.

Lufia 2 is the prequel to Lufia 1? Huh?
Yeah, Lufia 1 starts at the end of Lufia 2. And no, there isn't a PSX version. There is Lufia 3 for GB color, though, and I think there is also another game for GBA, but I'm not sure.

Yes, you might even want to play Lufia 2 before you play the first because it sort of spoils the ending (a little bit). Lufia 2 goes into more depth of the ending than the begining of the first game does though.

Great games, I'm actually playing through the first again.

Johann is correct, there is one for the GBC and one for the GBAdvanced

I think this quote is the best way to explain those games:

Lufia & the Fortress of Doom = Estpolis Denki
Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals = Estpolis Denki II
Lufia: The Legend Returns = Estpolis Denki: Yomigaeru Densetsu
Lufia: The Ruins of Lore = Estpolis Gaiden: Chinmoku no Iseki

Estpolis Denki = The Chronicle of Estpolis (or, Estpolis Biography)
Estpolis Denki: Yomigaeru Densetsu = The Chronicle of Estpolis: Revive the Legend
Estpolis Gaiden: Chinmoku no Iseki = Estpolis Side-Story: The Ruins of Silence

There is not a III in the series yet. TLR does take place in the same chronology of Lufia1 and Lufia2, however it is not Lufia3. Ruins of Lore, however, is a Gaiden title. Gaiden titles are used in Japan to identify stories that take place in the same universe, but are totally removed for the established story in that universe.

whoa Magic Knight Rayearth for Snes? Is it good? I have played the Saturn one and got really addicted
Battles аre waaaaaаааааy too slow, you can fall asleep after a while :) Аnd MKR for Saturn is absolutely different game.
