Hi guys im new to the board and to N64 emulation even though I have everything else. I got project 64 1.5 and Iv been looking for good plugins so I checked out glide64, I put it in the proper directorys and the whole nine yards evoodoo and all that. Now when I try to play a game like zelda oot or megaman 64 it has some real bad graphics problems, like the ground is all messed up and the colors are all screwd up well at least for zelda. castlevania LD dosent even work with it, and for Megaman 64 the only thing that shows is the Capcom logo then it goes black, even though I can hear the music and the guy talking. Can some one help me with this thing its 2 sec away from being deleted, I like jobos plugins way better for zelda anyways, but not for megaman or castlevania LD minor gli for both games. please help thanks.

You're going to need to know your video card. You are probably running WinXP, so do this:

- Go to the Start menu and open up the Control Panel.
- Open up the System control panel
- Go to the Hardware tab
- Click on Device Manager
- Click on the little + next to Display Adapters
- See what is listed there in the Display Adapters section

It could still very well be your drivers.

For instance with Nvidia based cards and Windows XP. Microsoft only gives a driver set that is compatible with DirectX and not OpenGL. To get fully up to date in that situation it would be recommended to go to Nvidia's website (NOT Microshaft) and download the proper drivers for the card in question.

Same thing (or something similar) could be happening to you.

Well ok Lazer Ill check into it. But can anyone tell me how good this plugin is with zelda majoras mask thats basicly the only game I want play at the moment. And I dont realy want to go threw a lot of work getting this thing working, when it realy wont help me as much as downloading some other plugin, that runs this game perfectly with less the Hassle.

This has been brought up on many occasions here. I think the general consensus has been that for most integrated video cards, Glide64+EVooDoo combo is the best bet. The only issue I can think of using that combo is that Glide64 is still not as compatible as say Rice's Daedalus or Jabo's D3D. For Zelda you should be quite happy though with it.

Best bet is try them all yourself and compare. But yes, do check into the drivers, you just never know anymore.

Frankly, your video card sucks. :(

Glide64 0.42 + eVoodoo 3.99 is currently your best bet for playing Majora's Mask. I don't know how well it does with eVoodoo, but on a Voodoo 5, at least, it looks near perfect.

EDIT: LazerTag beat me to it. :p

Well Khan Artist I have to disagree it might not be the best card but its done well enough. Like for Warcraft III or diablo II which realy need much more powerful cards then a 64. I could be wrong I also have the option of installing a AGP card if I ever need to. I just think this plugin isnt compatible with my video card at the moment ill, just wait for a diffrent plugin to come out one day. Pluse I found out that jobos D3D almost plays the game perfectly with some minor glitches but its all good thanks for your help guys. Oh yeah and sorry if I sounded like a jerk Khan Artist didnt mean to be rude or anything just in case.
