im just getting back into emulation after a long absense. i was wondering, what kinda system does this emulator require, would i need to upgrade or would i be fine as it is. im currently running a athlon 64 3500 winchester, with 2gb of ddr400 geIL/Mushkin ram, a radeon x1900xt(so happy i got one now). and more than enough drive space. is that a capable system?

Would you need to upgrade for anything? o_O

Either way, this emulator cannot run games at full speed. You're welcome to test out the compatibility and such, but don't expect very fast speeds.

.. Yes, even on that monster you call a computer. D:

oh i know, i used to play psx on a k6-2 300(oc'ed to 350) with a voodoo 2 and like 150 some mb of ram. w/o sound of course. im just wondering if my comp was enough. since if im not mistaken a computer will require at least 1/4 more power than the system its emulating, at least back then it did. also, im curious, how do i load the games that i currently own into the emulator, i have a few games that i like, that i would like to try out, including a few of the newer games. another question, where can i get neat pictures like the one you have...i like it.

You failed by saying "celeron"

about 7,000 gb ddr 12000 ram,
7000 isn't true, 1G of ram is 1024MB, it would be 7168000MB, but, 1024GB = 1TB , so would be 7TB

with a 4096 bit pci express x72 256 gb nvidia - fusion ati sli graphics card
only 256MB?

nvidia + ati? will never happen :p

......dolphin runs games at like AT LEAST 47 fps for me......:D

that slow? you can see by your specs ;)

EDIT: ok, so i lied.....its only got 5,000 gb ram......
would be 5TB so 5120000MB

Learn how PCs are working then learn to fake spec them :p

Plus, powerful graphics cards are not required by Dolphin and likely never will be. As long as it supports PS2.0 in hardware, then that is enough.

voodoo are awsome comps but too bad nvidia bought their graphics card company.......voodoo comps are still the best with a Ati graphic card cheaper than nvidia and alot better

WTF? 3Dfx was the name of the company that made Voodoos, which were graphics cards. nVIDIA bought what was left of 3Dfx, since 3Dfx was desperately handing onto Glide + othre graphics chip makers had to upper hand already... which eventually drove 3Dfx out of business, in a sense.

There was never a voodoo computer AFAIK, unless you mean a computer that used a Voodoo graphics card.

There is a "Voodoo PC" company though as far as I know (I've never investigated or used them) they have nothing to do with the 3dfx card line of the same name - looking at their site, they are incredibly expensive...
