Loool , what a big cooling system , it's even bigger than the Hoover on the GFX5800Pro ^_^ . Nvidia sucks anyway...

This comment is funny : Was für ein Surfbrett :)

That hardware analysis article really scares me. I'd expected my card (5900 Ultra) to take a slaughtering in the benchmarks, but CHRIST, that pisses me off...

The world of technology is ever-changing, but with with performance leaps like that it's hard not to wish I hadn't equipped my machine with the 5900U back in September.

Ahhhh well, looks like I've got some pennies to be saving :-(

The GeForce 6800 Ultra DESTROYS the 9800 XT in 99% of benchemarks, and the image quality of the AA (mixed multi-sampling and super-sampling) looks far superior to anything the r300 can even hope to achieve. The 9800 XT has most definetly lost it's crown in a spectacular fashion.

The r420 will have to pull something really special if if it's ever going to beat this 16 pipeline goliath.

mwahahaha Ati is giving Nvidia just the glimpse of the crown... but as soon as Nvidia thinks it can put the crown on it's head... Ati will strike again!! mwahahaha!!

yaaaaaaaaaaaay, maybe if we're really lucky , in a few years we will need a power generator to power just the f-ing cards. whoopeee. and in a few months many new games will come out that will play like shit on anything but these new cards. hoooooooray, thanks for selling everyone these cards a year ago that are going to be so much crap in a litttle while. ok, im done now.

Not quite. But yeah, when I get round to upgrading I WILL be taking offers. Although probably not $100 offers...

I prey, not pray.
Nvidia has the lead, ATI has the lead, Nvidia has the lead, ATI has the lead, Nvidia has the lead...its an endless cycle. Like I always say, don't be an idiot and buy the best card available, you'll just waste your money. IMO you shouldn't spend more than $200 on a video card. I never have, and I am always playing the latest games at more than 60fps with the highest graphics detail, and I replace my video card about as often as those who buy the best cards available.

*hugs his 5700, and prepares to chuck it into his older Pavilion 520c and replace it with the 6950 "Uber Revision Ultra Turbo-Charged Same Exact Thing as The Previous Model Clocked Higher with A better Cooler Go Out and buy a new powersupply" card*

Damn, now I'm gonna have to save up to buy the 6800, even though my 5900u is good enough right now.

I'd have to agree with alphawolf here... Why spend more than $200? Seems silly when so many games are fun at even the original gameboy resolution... :D

And a $170 card will do everything "good enough" at almost any point in the industry set up. Cept maybe Tenebrae.

*sigh*

I know what you mean! 12 fps on my rig :(

I need a NV4x just to play this highly unoptimised game! How will I afford it? Who knows!

I don't remember Tenebrae running that badly on my 9500 Pro.

Then again, it's been a while, and I've never had it working "correctly" anyway (I could never get sound to work, for one)...

Oh, and sheik124 - www.beyond3d.com if you think the GeForce6 is basically the same as its predecessor...
