I loved Majora's Mask.

Far and away better than OoT, IMO.

Almost every complaint I hear about MM is 'oh theres no zelda' or 'oh its too short', both of which are really retarded reasons to call it "terrible".

you telling me you play pokemon & harry potter?

i rest my case

You rest your case? Well of course, with that single sweeping statement, you have knocked me into a corner, and I will now instantly surrender to your superior opinions.

No, I didn't like the harry potter games (although the books are great), but the pokemon games are fine examples of a well designed RPG. And I can't believe there are people who liked the GC RE, I thought it was one of the most boring games I have ever played. It was not scary at all, the puzzles were stupid and obscure, the combat system was impossible to control. And it's not like I didn't give it a chance, hell, I wanted to like the game. I played it for about 3 of the most boring hours of my life.

'now look at the latest zelda, that looks a hell of a lot more for kids, even plays it, i dont mind, but i actually like zelda, and this game doesnt do it for me' First of all, this doesn't even make sense. Second, how much have you played this new zelda? Coz it's exactly like the others in the series.

Tagrineth: Well, I actually have never played the single player for bomberman generation :p I was just so happy they got rid of circular explosions in the multiplayer :)

Yeah i guess your right about pokemon, i have played it myself, didnt like it too much, wasn't too original, apart from you collect the monsters you battle. About Resi, i find it really addictive, its kinda like playing a horror movie, and you are wondering what happens next, you know how ppl are, they enjoy horror movies etc.

yeah, i know i said that, and got flamed by you lot lol, yeah i have played it, but it still seems very childish though, dont get me wrong, but the cell shading does look quite nice though. As for Zelda i only liked Zelda 3 for the SNES. Yes i do still play SNES games, and before you say, yes they are cartoony yeah, but the games are really addictive, Zelda for GC seems to be aimed at a lower age than the previous ones though, which is annoying, and doesnt help sales with the older gamer. Its kinda like when Ministry Of Sound started putting crap like scooter and flip & fill into their albums, labeling it as trance, when it's just a cheesey version of dance, why? Because of boosting sales, and increasing popularity with younger ppl, it annoys me.

yeah i liked bomberman too, the psx version was gr8, i was just saying it appeals to the younger age group even though they are addictive as hell, kinda like snes games

Finally, a sensible post. Sure you completely disagreed with me on lots of things, but at least you didn't give bullshit reasons :)

Anyway, with zelda, I have found it to be easier than other zelda's i've played. But still the fun is there for me, so I'm happy.

Nintendo have been always famous for the quality games. You can find those for GC, too, just take a look around.

The disappointing thing is the lack in the number of released cool games. I miss MarioKart...

Mario Kart, F-Zero, Mario 128, Harvest Moon, Soul Calibur 2 and Metriod Prime 2 are all games I am looking foward to on the cube.
I need to buy Super Monkey Ball 2 when I have enough money too.

Also, keep in mind that Enix-Square is now making games for nintendo as well. We got 2-3 rpgs to look forward to for the GameCube.

F-Zero ... Metriod Prime 2

The only two games I would even consider renting for a GC, certainly not going to get one for just that though.

Maybe if they were published for something I already own, like a PC or xbox. (which could happen if nintendo took the sega route, which I still think they will despite their comments about how they would leave the video game industry first...they are a public corporation, they will never hold true to that statement if it came down to it)

I might buy another XBOX after I sold mine. I just need to see a decent game come out for it first. That will complete my collection of next-gen consoles, having already completed my last-gen collection, though my Saturn has been in the shed for years. Don't even know if Saturn counts as last gen anyway :p. Dreamcast does unforunately :(.

Trouble with that, though, is of course that Nintendo is still turning hefty profits. :)

Little by little, the proverbial faucet is turning off for them. :satisfied

No, those aren't my complains on Majora's Mask, my complaint is that it's too damn boring. But that's just me.

I love Zelda, but Majoras Mask was bullshit. I never bothered to play most of it because I found it too tedious going backwards and fowards through days and whatever. If there wasn't any day countdown and included some half decent bosses the game would of been cool. And also not focused on masks so much ;).

First impressions of WW are good, it's definately more OOT than MM.

Top 100 games in USA for March

http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=4196

Find out the top 100 games that were sold in the USA in March, with a familiar number one.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker topped the chart for this month, selling nearly 200,000 compared to the number two game. Nintendo also hold all three top spots, certainly Nintendo's month in the USA.

1. GCN ZELDA:WIND WAKER 826,352
2. GBA POKEMON RUBY 652,595
3. GBA POKEMON SAPPHIRE 585,098
4. PS2 TENCHU 3:WRATH 164,282
5. PS2 THE GETAWAY 139,796

Go zelda go! :p

I didn't find MM boring at all. The only thing that was kinda annoying was having to re-collect money and things like bombs, and money isn't a problem if you know how to reach a few silver rupees. :flowers: Also collecting items is easy once you have the Goron's Mask.

Also I had to re-do the second dungeon once because I took too long and had literally 2 seconds on the clock when I pulled out my Ocarina to warp back after finishing it... but it was easy the second time through.

If the game didn't have a countdown it'd be way too easy, anyway.

And half decent bosses? The TwinMold owned all of OOT's bosses hands down! Well maybe not Bongo dude, but still, I occasionally pop the game in again just to go fight TwinMold again ^_^ And the entire water dungeon was a blast, IMO... and ended with one of the toughest 3D Zelda bosses to date.

Then there's the menus. They're vastly improved over OOT's. Before you say anything about how identical they seem, consider a few things: 1. Item selection - you can move the cursor across blank spaces. Very handy if your items are sparse across the board; I remember several times in OOT I had to wrestle with the cursor to select an item. 2. SPEED. OOT's is just freaking painful to navigate after spending some time in MM. And 3. Die, equipment subscreen, die. It shouldn't have been necessary, darnit!

Next we have the masks. What's wrong with the masks? Some of the masks felt too gimmicky (like the all-night mask - it gets you two pieces of heart but otherwise does squat), but they were still fun, and the bunny hood was UBER useful. And Zora Link > *.

Finally... OOT's entire story was almost like Zelda:LttP: The Director's Cut. There were so many parallels it just bugged the hell out of me. MM has an original, and very touching storyline.
