Well since im tired of messing with girigiri that stupid emulator, and since im also board and sick i have decided to make this thread. Ok hear we go. Which game would you like to see become a movie.
I think I would like to see a (WarCraft) movie one of the best games I have ever played.

Oh and zelda but they will probebly mess it up.

I also heard of the following games becoming movies:

DBZ
Metroid
Resident Evil 3 nemesis

Damn cant remmember any others.

Games that have already become movies.

Good movies:

Tomb Raider (Kinda)
Resident evil
Mortal Kombat 1 (New)

REALLY BAD MOVIES!:

Mario brothers
Street fighters
Final fantasy
Mortal Kombat 2 (New)

and I think thats it well lets hear it.

Frankly, I consider all video game movies to be bad movies. That notwithstanding, you should add the Mortal Kombat flicks to your really bad list.

Ehm, DBZ was a TV show quite a few years before it became a game franchise, so it doesn't really count.

DBZ doesn't have movies, only OVAS, and the Resident Evil movie is not good at all (I have to say it) IMO I think that the Final Fantasy movie is not bad because represents a lot of computer animation work by Square. Talking about movies, there's romours on Internet that there will be a Evangelion real-action movie. I already know that Evangelion is not a game, but it is a interesting new

I would like to see Final Fantasy 7 as a movie, just god let me produce it. I don't want it fudged like the other FF movie (nice graphics but...dont storyline sucked)

Meh...
actually, i liked the mortal kombat movies, it did stay in story line didnt it? street fighter... eh... it was ok but they still messed it up. dragonball games came out first for the nes after the first saga of it. and they kept making many more. tomb raider was a good movie, i gotta see the 2nd one. mean while ill drink some non alcoholic beer with my friends :p

Wow, what a distinction. They're still full length, and have independant plots (two of them fit in the main storyline, but they're still reasonably independant).

Games should never be converted into movies. Most attempts I've seen are quite sad and badly thought through. Final fantasy was a breakthtough in a couple of ways and it had a nice and clean estetic touch to it and Resident Evil tried to hide the fact that there's no plot behind a big budget and a lot of special effects. The Super Mario Bros flick is although bad quite more or less a classic in my book, but it's nothing I'd pay to watch...

And regarding Tomb Raider, I don't think we can find 1 person who saw that movie because Lara Croft is cool compared to Angelina Jolie being a perfect 10. Atleast not a honest person... :p

Metal Gear Solid would make a pretty good moive...but then again, half the freakin' games was reading the codec or watching FMVs...

Well I added two more movies to the list above. Thanks Allnatural Mortal kombat sliped my mind. I believe part 2 was the one that messed things up for Mortal combat, even though they should have added more effects in part one but it was ok. Oh and My95zr2 I agree with you on that, that would make a cool movie. And I know theres movies for DBZ but not a life action movie, hopefuly it will do good but it porbebly wont. I cant realy see any one palaying any of the characters really. Well keep them comming. Oh yeah I also think Devil May Cry could be a really good live action movie.

Oh yeah and Final fantasy would have been good, if it didnt have that really crapy story line. That was basicly what destroyed it. Pluse I was expecting some sword fights, and magic and stuff it could have been way better.

This is true... but that doesn't make it any less frightening (did anyone see "DragonBall: The Magic Begins?").

This came straight from the pages of Beckett Dragon Ball Collector:

"The big news hat has been posted all over the web for the last few months was the announcement by Fox Films of a live action Dragon Ball movie! With the immense success of Spider-man and Harry Potter, the rumors are that Fox will pull out all the stops on his movie, and spare no expense to fill it full of terrific special effects and popular actors. No doubt rumors will be appearing all over the web about the film as prodution begins later this year..."

It is the words 'live action' (and the fact that it will not be done in Japan but the United States - English+DB=Bad. What can I say? I'm a purist.) that truely scare me. Let's just pray this is all a lie.

Please do NOT name ANY rpg as material for a movie. Think about this, how can you possible shrink 40+ hours of storyline into a 90min movie without losing any of the important stuff?
