I want to put PacMan on my site (I went to neave.com, it says any site is free to put it up) I have the swf, fla, everything... But I can't figure out how to give it a scoreboard. I know it uses cgi, that's no problem... Can any admins help me out and maybe give me the code for their way of doing it? Thanx loads.

Well, what we're using here was released as a complete hack, called vBPro Arcade. With some modification it would probably work without vBulletin. The hack has been released at www.vbulletin.org, but you need to have a vBulletin license in order to download it.

I believe whoever made this hack for vBulletin found these games with scoreboards already, I don't think they modified the actual games to include a scoreboard. So, if you search around the chances are good that you will find the standalone games with scoreboards and instructions on how to get it to work.

uhm... PacMan was made by www.neave.com this guy. And he has it as a free download for anyone who wants it. Let me explain the situation in exhausting detail:

I played the game, and then clicked on the link in the game, and got to his site. On his site, the game has its own scoreboard, inside the game, not on a seperate web page (quite frankly I don't care where the scoreboard is, I just want one). And he has released some downloads of the game, one is the swf (with no scoreboard), one is the entire source code (FLA, and all the files, but you can't put it online... *please note, I do not understand flash ???*), and one is the entire game, as an exe, for download to your computer to play. The source code does come with the scoreboard files, but I can't run it, it's not, in the game format. It's complicated to explain, especially since I don't understand it  anyhow, help would be greatly appreciated!!!

So what are you asking for? :) If the game is perfectly legal, why don't you just go and download it? I'm not allowed to re-distribute any files at all.

For the last time, I'm not allowed to re-distribute any of the files from the hack. Whether it has a score board or not is irrelevant.

Yes, but you have a different version of the game, that has a SCORE BOARD:plain2:

Its not a different version, the VB hack intercepts the score and sends it to the web page rather than sending it to the scoreboard in the game. Its still the same version of Pac-Man. All of those games have internal scoreboards in them but the hack forces it to go to the scoreboard in VBulletin. And Martin can't legally distribute the information you want because its part of the hack which can only be distributed at www.vbulletin.org.

Ok... I understand that he can't redistribute them, but you are wrong, the game you can put on your site for free, at www.neave.com, has NO scoreboard whatsoever, not on a web page, not in the game. The one he has on his site that you can PLAY has a scoreboard, and the SOURCE code has a scoreboard, but not the easy-to-setup SWF file that he has for download ><. Please, understand my problem... I'm not just trying to get you guys to do something for me because I'm too lazy to do it for myself. Anyhow... Thanks anyway...???

So email him and ask him how he did it, but the only way Marty can help is to send you that hack, he didnt create the scoreboard, its part of the hack that someone else made, so he has no idea how to help you, and he cant send you the hack.
