Nor here... we have to wait for Smash Bros. and Pikmin.
I`m curious as to what ISS is like though. I never even knew it was a launch game!
You could always play it safe and go with Tony Hawk 3.

I agree to Renegade, but am not jealous. All the talk about Nintendo's innovative games make me want to laugh. Zelda 45641 anyone? Or Mario 8946546549687412? lol

Edit: I am not saying they are bad games, just that it's all the same. Kill Ganon/bowser. Just growing tired of them.

the FF games are still the same but people still buy them

I think the difference I like with Nintendo is that they try to make the games different, they don't always rely on the same formula, it's the same thing with Sega, they try to produce different games.

Well FF fits that formula as well. :p
I guess it's up for each one to decide what he/she/it buys, and some might even enjoy having the feeling that all is not completely new.

i hate it when they change games.
look at FFX, why the hell did they have to change a perfectly good battle system into something so repetitive and dull. there was nothing wrong with the ATB system they've been using for years.
and why the hell did they have to add voice dubbing? i dont want the lead character in the game to sound like a little pansy. (i wanna be able to distinguish characteristics for myself).

or look at Mario, why the hell did Nintendo give him a water cannon? why cant they just make a regular mario game dammit.

as far as zelda goes, i think this new one is going back to the roots of the classic zelda style, wich is cool i think.

Thats same characters, very different games.
Anyone who can say Mario hasn`t evolved dramatically is obviously missing something. Mario Bros. was a single screen platformer. Super Mario Bros. was a side-scrolling run-n-jump platformer. Mario Bros.2 (true, Doki Doki Panic was more to do with it) was an entirely different type of platform game. Mario Bros 3 added several innovations (world map and flying for example), Mario World added hidden exits and some new ideas (The Yoshi`s, Switch Palaces etc). Then we have Mario 64, the worlds first true (and still best) 3d `platform` game, which gave the vast innovation of the analogue stick for variable speed etc. I could say the same for the Zelda series, but I think my point has been made, hmm?
In fact, just about the only Nintendo series you could say hasn`t changed all that much is, well, Metroid.
EDIT: Forgot Yoshi`s Island from above... highly innovative graphical style and gameplay.

Exactly. Of course the worry is more that said change will be from `good game` to `bad game`.
Anyone played I.S.S. for the `Cube yet..?

Anyone who can explain why ISS, Tony Hawk 3 and Waverace cost an average of £5 more than all the other games in many stores, I`d like to hear it...?

Yeah I noticed that today... Woolies has Tony Hawk and Rogue Leader and I think ISS at £44.99 though... strange. So... pay £5 more or walk 20 feet down the street to Currys. Ooh, hard choice. ;)
Think I`m going for Tony Hawk 3 or Waverace tomorrow then..

I'd go for Waverace. It's got some awesome graphics, the music is top, and it is sooooo rewarding when you get good.

I can't stand Gamecube. I think they're too small, flimsy, and have no power. The graphics in their games really aren't that impressive. The controllers are flimsy at best. I've heard tons of complaints about how the buttons sometimes don't pop back out when you push them.

I hate their choice of games. I hate the fact that all their in house games suck ass, but they nab Star Wars: Bounty Hunters as one of their only out of house developed titles. Fucking bastards, why couldn't you just have stayed dead. Face it, the N64 was a lackluster console. Aside from Goldeneye, Mario Kart 64, and Zelda, it basically sucked ass.

Most of all, I hate the amount of rabid Nintendo fanboys who think that Nintendo can do no wrong. Face it. From a hardware standpoint, the Gamecube sucks. Games are really nothing special, albeit focused more on younger children than the adult gaming population. The controllers are awful. And it doesn't play DVDs. At all. Ever. You have to shell out $200 more for the Panasonic version that plays DVDs. But, you can only get that in Japan anyways.

So in conclusion, I hope to see Nintendo fail and have their few mediocre games be distributed to other consoles that would make them about a billion times better than the Gamecube ever could.
