This still won't make the x360 sell in Japan, it's already been out on PC and PS2 for ages, so frankly who gives a crap, those who REALLY wanted to play it have already....and you know the japanese, when they want to play something, they'll grab it first thing it comes out on.
That and it looks like the PS2 version, wow, x360 is getting a line-up of PC / PS2 games (this is not the first PS2/PC game to get straight ported) at it's launch, not exactly promising, microsoft begs for something from square-enix, and they throw microsoft the scraps, I can see the cartoon already...

If this was the best MMORPG you ever played, you need to play another MMORPG.
Lol ive played them all.. but seriously, some aspects of Final Fantasy XI were great, I bought the game just for the free trial and gave it a go here is my opinion.
Pros: 1: Stop what your doing at any time and change your job, sick of being a red mage? Long hours swinging an axe as a warrior got you down? Looking to take up a more mystical entity as your primary means of entertainment? Well in final fantasy XI you are able to switch your job at any time, this is a great feature.
2: The game is big, in a way this is both a pro and a con its very easy t oget lost, or wander into an area where you cannot handle yourself resulting in death.
3: If you are someone who enjoys socializeing with others on the internet, final fantasy is a great way to meet other people infact youll HAVE to if you want to progress beyond level 10.
4: MOG HOUSE!! ~ KUPO!! ~ Need I say more?
5: Good quests! There are actual cinematics in the game, it was unbelievable.. the way they actually managed to make it feel like a real final fantasy game (if only in some small way) was really heartwarming to me, as I am someone who has played them all.
CONS: 1: Boreing after a short while, yep.. plain and simple after awhile of playing things get boreing and there isnt to much else to do beyond your basic "every other game on the market has this feature as well so do we" moments, this one isnt reccomended for long sessions of play unless you have some sort of.. like.. disease that makes you immune to getting bored easily.
2: Hard as hell, this game is very difficult.. ever played a game and wonderd just how deeply into masochism the devs are? This game will make you question that and alot more about its design, never start a fight you cant finish running is useless, never log in and hope to achieve things in an hour, it is useless. Get used to the gear you have also because makeing money.. as with everything else.. takes forever.
3: NO SOLO PLAY!! When will MMORPG Developers get it through their heads, half of the time spent playing games that require you to absoloutely have other people with you is wasted on finding said people! It can take ungodly amounts of time to find the right type of group, couple this with the fact that alot of people may not want YOUR class in their group (your not efficient..) and youll come to realise youve wasted 2 hours and a half 2 litter of Diet Coke typeing "LFG: Lv 18-20 WHISP ME PLZ!!" this just isnt as fun as saying, ok got my potions.. got my scrolls.. map, weapons quest.. lets kill some monsters!
4: Repetition.. repetition.. repetition, seriously folks I cannot stress this enough.. this game is repetative, you wander around doing the same thing over and over, sure its sprinkled with the occasional level up or item drop but its just so mind numbing you wont care.
5: Graphics dated, while the game doesnt look bad per say, it is nothing compared to what it should look like (on your 360 anyways) the games textures are a bit washed out and grainy and the worlds dont feature to much in the ways of vibrant lifelike colors, its almost like someone took a grey screen and placed it over your eyes.. a bit dull in the visual department.
All in all, it has its pros.. it has its cons.. but as far as living up to the final fantasy name gose, this title fails - the quests arent epic, the story isnt compelling and there just isnt enough here to keep you playing that long at all, I give this game a 2, out of five.

i dont like this game because it's a FF, i like it because it's a great one.
job and ability are just too great with a lot of possibility because you can have 2 jobs at the same time ( job you can also change as you want ), i like the graphism and in my opiniion they are better than wow, lineage II or other. the world is too beautiful, when you travel you cant believe your eyes. you can be attacked by pirates on a boat, it's funny as well, etc... if you play this game the way it was made for, it's just the best game.
the probleme is not the game, it's just all fucker who cant do anything but xp and money.
i though mmorpg was some kind of mmoRPG but no, just a mmog.
you want to evade with a game and play as a "hero" and you'r just in another world with the same dumbass people who can only think about money..or xp.
i cant translate all that.
ffXI, c'est juste un pure jeu, tous est merveilleux dans ce monde imaginaire, il y a de quoi vivre des aventure extraordinaire, rencontrer des gens et vivre des histoire avec comme ci c'ete un final fantasy solo mais une fois dans le jeu les reve d'evasion laisse place a un monde juste egale au monde réelle, des gros blaireau qui pense qu'au benef. on se demande pourquoi les gens achete un jeu pour s'evader si une fois dans le jeu il fon exactement la meme chose que dans leur de vie de gros blaireau.
apres on va me dire que wow c'est mieu ? c'est encore pire, en plus des gros blaireau, y'a tous les noob. les quete sont toute les meme et j'trouve que les garphisme sont moin beau que final, les music, quand il y en a, sont toujours pareil et les decors sont pas si terrible que ca.
l'immersion dans ce jeu est juste a la moitier de celle que l'on peut ressentir dans final fantasy XI.
FFXI is just the best mmorpg i ever played.

or if you like FFXI because its a console MMO.
Phantasy Star Online: Maybe not what it is now so much as what it was in the dreamcasts hay-day, but playing PSO on the DC completely clobbers the experience I had within FFXI.
Ultima Online: This game is old, but I think alot of people could agree that even by todays standards this game has more to offer (especially in ways of casual gameing) than FFXI.
Everquest II: If you can seriously get into this game, it is SO deep I however just didnt have the time to appreciate it to its fullest, definately better and more compelling than the shallow pond that is FFXI. (also if you are a guy who likes RPG as you said above, this game has a great roleplaying community)
There are more, but Ill just list those as the "Obvious" choices, but hey if playing FFXI makes you happy then that is your decision and your opinion, I was just stateing my own.

wow is what you should call the "to much toward a hardcore MMO market" game. quest are always the same, 2 job are good, the rest can go to trash and if ffXI too hard, wow is certanely to easy.
you get the max level in no time.
i tryed it but the "Dumping" wasn't as good as i was hopping.
i just get bored...
uo is good and great for RP but yeah it become to be a little old when you see all news beautiful games comming.
phantasy star online is a good game, very funny but the world is small. you do the 4 or 5 level and you can do them again and again to get new weapon or so.
i didnt tryed everquest II, i was waiting dark and light but the more i hear about the less i want to play it so maybe i should try everquest II, why not.
i will maybe try guildwar or some other game comming too.
for ffXI, ok you cant solo, you always do the same for level, too hard, etc... that's why i stopped but i had fun, some great memories of adventure with some rare great people i meet, i was tripping and, this game with a bigger RP comunity --> i replay the game but, that's not the caselain:
i was really in a new world with this game, i dont know why it was so tripping for me but i dont have any memories like that with other game. that's why it's the best for me now on.

well, i had great rp fun with that game that's why i like it but rp player are rare so i stopped. i think it's the trully reason of why i stopped playing this game because when you dont find rp player you only can do as everybody and i didnt find that fun.
you dont like ff, i dont like wow but comunity are barely the same so maybe all mmorpg sux like hell because of that.
