f-zero x problem

I tried playing f-zero x today, and all i got was a black screen. Music plays fine in the backround, just the screen is completely black. i was using jabo's 1.5.1 d3d6 plugin. I tried rice's plugin, but the video froze at the n64 logo, while the music and the rest of the stuff went on. It also suffered from fps problems, going about 30-40 fps. Jabo's plugin ran it at 60fps. any suggestions?

Try using Glide64 0.41+eVoodoo 3.99 beta+newest ini file. It runs fast, and has flawless graphics for me.

sometimes it freezes for a second or two here, I never bothered with it. It is also common to have discoloured cars as well for many plugins.
