Evangelion 64 crashing problem

LifeMega

Navirus
On Mission 12 when Unit 02 is fighting the Mass Production Evas, every time I try to do Action 89 (hit Unit 07 with the sword while it's standing still) the game crashes. I saw someone else post at a different board with the same problem, and they said they tried different emus and downloading the rom from different sources, and it didn't help. Is there any way to fix this?

EDIT: In addition, going to number 89 on the Action menu makes it crash as well.

theres only one rom available anywhere.

I think so too :)
But that is not quite right ^__~

(for few years o_O I have only this rom:

Neon Genesis Evangelion.v64 (save in 24.06.1999 15:51.30)

Its CRC is 184982F2 or E561C9A621CB537F8DB8415AC77A4699 in md5
This ROM was corrupted badly somehow.)

Now I have five different roms of Evangelion for n64, there names is:
File name Size Date Time Attr
------------------------------------------------- --------------- ---------- -------- ----
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) [!].z64 33,554,432 04.04.2004 08:35.40 -a--
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) [b1].z64 33,554,432 28.03.2004 20:39.16 -a--
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) [b2].z64 31,317,000 28.03.2004 20:39.28 -a--
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) [b3].z64 33,554,432 28.03.2004 20:39.02 -a--
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J) [f1] (PAL).z64 33,554,432 28.03.2004 20:39.40 -a--

total files 5 total size 165,534,728

I supose that first is original game and the last is its PAL modification.
I be able to run them all on Project64 except PAL version.
I be able to view all of the battle scenes in cheat mode without any freezes.
I already complete the game on easy mode :) there was some error messages of emulator,
but I think that's because I don't know how to tune it for this game correctly.
I download them from here just the day before yesterday: URL **** (no links to roms)
In solid 7z archive, they all weight about 22 megs ^_^
Download and enjoy.

Sorry for my poor english

The Great Gunblade Wielder
using the Jabo plugin, set the D3D clear mode to per frame to remove the white lines and rendering artifcats as well.

oh, I am sorry, I forgot the rules, how silly I am :) sorry for offtopic, but I find it quite funny :)) that on forum about emulators is forbidden to exchange of links to roms :)) it is some kind of absurd, I think

SeymourOmnis, squall_leonhart, thanks for your advices!

what about the link, anyway? I can send it to email or icq, if someone still need it. just post here about that. I hope it is not forbidden, otherwise I don't know how to share it with you...

Oops. Died again.
All games, be it an Atari 2600 cart, or a PS3 BluRay DVD, are copyright, and retain that statis for ~decades~. There is another good reason why we don't post links in our forum though. It's mostly the legal issue of roms... but also that while the emulator itself IS legal, and can be freely distributed, we don't want to have trouble for telling people how to use it illegally. Nor do we want to be associated with illegal practices. Hence the rules. That and some forums that allowed the discussion of roms reached the slippery slope, and allowed it... then allowed rom sharing in links... then got shut down. I would NOT like to see that here.

Technically, we should only be supporting the "homebrew" and "demo" games for PJ64, regardless of how legal it is to "have a backup" copy. Want a real laugh? Read the instruction manual for an N64 game, and it says that you are NOT permitted a copy of your own game that you paid for, and that it's "not needed to archive your game" and all that.

squall_leonhart, Tre, I understand everything. And I can even understand that a copy of your own game you paid for are NOT permitted. It is because in fact you are paying not for the game, but just for the its hardware bearer (cartrige) and for permission to its home use only. (like dvd-video - you pay only for ability to view the movie, but movie isn't belong to you) I think it is quite logical.

Check out this joke: Penny Arcade! - A Close One it is not about games, but it will be in subject :) (this is not a link to rom, I swear :))))

I really don't know how to help you then.
