Error message on any game

Hey all, whenever I try to play a game on Project 64 it lets me play for around a minute, and then I get an error message. I have used Project 64 since 1.4 was the latest version (not quite sure when that was, but it was quite a while back), and this is my first time getting the error.

It says:
Project64.exe - Application Error
The instruction "0x012595a4" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate the program
Click CANCEL to debug the program
OK|CANCEL

My specs:
Windows XP, Service Pack 2
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3000+
Speed: 2127.4 MHz
RAM: 1024 MB
Sound Card: Realtek AC97 Audio
Video Card: ATI All-In-Wonder 9800
250 GB Hard drive

Project64 v1.6, default plugins
All my drivers are up-to-date (I think)

Sorry, no screenshot

Sounds as if one of your plugins isn't cooperating.. hmm. but that is what happens to me when I have a bad plugin picked. I use

Jabo's Direct3D7 v1.40
Jabo's Direct Sound ( or whatever)
Jabo's Direct Input.

and it all works fine/

so, if you have Jabo's Direct3D8 or 6 checked, then try 7. unless, you already have.

Have you installed netframe work i got that error then installed that it worked fine mabey it could be somthing ells.
No, the .NET framework is simply a bunch of .dlls and such to make certain programs (ones coded in C#) work.

Project64 does not use any part of the .NET Framework.

And thank goodness!

Why can't you screenshot? Anyways, try a different video plugin and make sure your ROM is good i suppose. Also, i suppose you can try Service Pack 3. I installed it and it smoothed over some strange problems I was having.

wrong mate, since .net framework bundles VS2003 and 2002 runtime dlls, installing .net framework does fix dll related problems in PJ64.
