Error Message is Driving Me CraZy!

1: If you get a "can't read TOC from x:drive" error you may have to install ASPI drivers v4.71 from HERE and after that install v4.60 from HERE in order to make it work.
2: You must not have custom IDE drivers installed when installing the ASPI drivers (use the IDE drivers that come with windows). If you have, the emulator will probably crash.
To unistall any custom IDE drivers manually do one of the following:
1: Go into the windows device manager and then to the ATA/ATAPI controllers section. Then select the IDE controller and then the drivers tab and click update drivers. Then select choose driver from list and then check show all hardware. Finally install the 'Standard Dual channel PCI IDE controller' and reboot. After that, install the ASPI drivers.
2: If your Mainboard has an NVidia nForce chipset install the latest drivers for it and make sure to choose "No" when the installer asks you if you want to install nVidia's custom IDE drivers.

I've tried all of the above and still can't get Chankast to run without "can't read TOC from x:drive" popping up. Can anyone help or do you have the same problem?

Update:

Ah, please ignore this. I got it to work anyway. All I had to do was turn off the APSI drivers...

Update:

Now I'm having problems with EVERYTHING. Sonic Adventure 2 has some weird graphic problems in which the ground disappears behind anyone, Capcom vs. SNK 2 won't even start (JP version btw), and Soul Calibur's all funny. Can anyone help me out?

Run dxdiag. Your computers specs should be listed on the first tab. Also check the Display tab and see what it says under Device.

Dude...that's reeeeeally harsh. Take in consideration for others, why don't you?
I mean, come on. People come here to discuss problems and find solutions or to solve others problems. And do some other stuff...but other than that...well, you know what I mean! Just please help a dying man...or rather computer...

I suspect that's your problem right there (as far as graphics problems are concerned). Chankast and many next-gen emulators perform best with separate graphics cards (Intel is onboard video). Onboard graphics controllers are a worst case scenario with new emulators and games, which is what you have. Your best bet would be to find out if you have an AGP socket on the motherboard in your PC. If you don't, your only option will be a PCI one. Make sure the card is DirectX9 hardware compatible if you plan to buy one. I don't think you'll have very much luck in using Chankast or any other newer emulator without replacing your graphics controller.;)

As heartlesss as it sounds, an integrated graphics controller is probably the worst thing you can have as far as emulators are concerned, and generalplot is right. Chankast doesn't like integrated graphics chips.

I dont think it was harsh, I thought it was pretty funny. Also, I did consider you... but I won't say what. Anyways, as stated above using a on-board video card SUCKS! DELETED!

I would have a lot more, but my other host pulled the plug on my other site. I need to find new hosts.
