"While processing graphics data an exception occurred you may need to restart the emulator." I'm going bananas over this. thanks in advance.

Your integrated video chip is most likely the culprit. Use Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin, because that's basically the only plugin that will work with the chip. Well, if you are thiking of playing any 3D games. jabos's Direct3D8 plugin may work with 2D games just fine.

So, that must be the reason why the other plugins (Glide64, Rice plugin, etc) doesnt work even with the necessary files (the .dll files), so im stuck with the Jabo plugin?

Most of the other plugins are too advanced for that chip to handle, so the answer is yes.

To put it bluntly, a gamer, much less an avid emulator user would want an integrated graphics chip in their computer., because these chips choke on 3D graphics (mainly all games that use DirectX 8-9 to render graphics) pretty badly. Unless your computer is a laptop, in which case you don't really have much choice.

Any card that's no older than a year or two. Basically, Radeons from 9xxx to X1xxx series or GeForce 5-7 (5xxx - 7xxx series). But this is just my opinion, other's opinions may vary.

A really good value video card is the GeForce 6600GT, if you can afford it. I can pretty-much run all N64 games with a perfect frame rate with 8xAA and 16xAF with a CF of 1.

yes but that's more to do with your CPU

aith_note:
Windows Millenium is not reliable either... XP preferred.
