How are you doing guys,

Well, I just got a new laptop. I know I'm down grading because I'm coming off my desktop which is a 3200 opteron, 2gb of memory, and a 7800GT.

On my desktop iv never had any problems, its video is quite abit stronger than this laptop. Let me also say that I couldnt manage to find minimum system requirments for Pj64.

The laptop is an Intel Dual-Core (1.6 GHz), 1Gb of ram, and a X3100 graphics processor. Real info on the graphics processor is kinda sparse.

Well, first up, id like to say that RDB WIP is awesome. Gave me alot of help.

I noticed Starfox 64 wasnt on the list, The game runs decently during game play, but falls apart in menus.

I was running Mario Tennis, and I used the changes you suggested, the game runs constant 60 FP/s, except the replays (which i dont care about). Im just curious about wether or not theres a good way to improve Starfox? And does my laptop meet the minimum requirments?

In theory, the graphics of the laptop should meet the requirements as it is supposed to be DX10 compliant. In practice, since it is an Intel chip, it probably is hampered by drivers. The testers of Project64 almost exclusively have used ATI and NVIDIA graphics in the past too.

Jabo's D3D6 1.5.2 is always a fairly safe bet for any Intel graphics due to the low requirements. Rice's Video works pretty well with StarFox, but may not work properly with the Intel chip. Not sure since the chip is fairly new and not many people seem to have it.

Laptop defiantly should meet the minimum requirements. (gfx card is sketchy, sounds like a ATI 64mb) (might be wrong)

Out of interest did you put the config back to default when running starfox or did you leave it as it was when playing mario tennis?

Thanks for the replies.

@Clements:
Ill have to start posting things around the web about it, no one seems to know that its capabilities are, i have had trouble with some things yet not others, for instance super smash bros. lags on the laptop.

@zion:
I set them back to defaults then tried changing some things to see if they would improve the performance, but as a general statement not much helped it. If you have any suggestions of what might help i would love to hear them.
