Although I agree with this plot hole: how the heck did he lift a giant continent up when it's covered in Kryptonite?.

I can answer that. I have it on good authority that Superman re-charged himself like an Energizer battery via the sun's rays (A yellow sun is what gives him his super powers) prior to lifting the Kryptonite island. If you look closely at his left boot you will see the Energizer power indicator slowly depleting due to the effects of Kryptonite.

And about Superman... I've been wanting to see it but I hear lots of bad things. So that's making me have second thoughts
