Does Chankast works on all DirectX 7 video cards?

Hello, I am new to using Chankast. I recently tried it on my desktop computer, with a 9600 pro 128mb, and it runs games like Gundam F vs Z with no problem.

I then went ahead and install Chankast on my laptop, with a S3 Unichrome graphic card. It is a directX 7 video card using 64mb shared memory. I cannot get it to run unless I use Wireframe mode. The system would hang if I do not use Wireframe mode.

I found that Chankast does work on DX7 video cards, sush as ATI Radeon 7XXX series

And Nvidia Geforce2 MX

So is there any way I can get Unichrome to run Chankast normally? Thanks in advance.

And here is my specs for the two computers I have:

AXP Mobile 2500+ 2.31G (210X11.0 at 1.750V)(VOLCANO12ed)---512MB PC3200---Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe---ATI Radeon 9600pro 128MB (ICEBERQ4ed)

AXP Mobile 2000+---256MB PC2700---VIA KN400A Chipset---S3 Unichrome 64MB (DX7 card) [Averatec 3220H Notebook]

And I just did some searching, and it seems that the Unichrome do not have hardware transformation and lighting. Looks like this video card have to depend on software transformation and lighting to run its games. Maybe that is why it won't work?
