DoA2 LE- choppy/distorted sound effects

anyone else have this problem? the sound gets all distorted and scratchy and choppy whenever the characters speak.

game runs fine on chankast vers. 0.25a - which version do u use?

may it's a problem with your soundcard or your sound drivers - i've a soundblaster audigy 4 with the latest drivers installed.
