DK 64 issues

DK 64 isn't working for me now on PJ64 version 1.6. it used to with an older version. it's telling me an error of something like: "permanent loop ended emulation, check your PJ64 settings". is there a specific setup that I got to have to make it work without going to an earlier version? if so, what is it?

That may mean it is a bad rom.

Why would you want to use an older version, 1.6 has almost perfect timing for this game... older versions just don't cut it i'm afraid, you're out of luck thanks for playing

Dk64 is almost perfect in project 64 1,6
in a olde version it is horrible
