  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Djipi's Final Cell Zelda MOD crash in DirectX

Hello. I have some problem with Djipi final cell texture pack.
I'm using :
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ and 1GB ram
with Geforce 6600GT using Forceware 160.02
Win XP SP2 and Direct X 9.0c

Emu i use Project64 1.6 with latest rdb and Rice latest video plugin -stable.
I have also tried using another Rice plugin all with the same result.

What happen is when i'm using Direct X as a render engine and then start the game the texture will load, buat after the texture have finishing loading it will close itself, or crashing.
Sometimes it don't close after finishing load and i can see the framerates playing but the screen is all black and when i push the START or A button then the emu suddenly close itself.
I have tried using different configuration to make it work but it won't do.
When using OpenGL as render engine it's normal.
And i notice that when using OpenGL the textures load faster, something like the files it load is lesser than when using Direct X. Any difference?

Can somebody help me please, and tell me what's wrong?
Or it's supposed to be only working in OpenGL ?

Thanks.

Hmmm.....

Well this is odd, my newest patches fixed the texture loading issues for me a long time ago, I posted a new patch that might fixed it. Its at the end of the sticked topic in the plugin forum.
