DivX + MS VC++ 6.0

Hi guys,

i got a problem, on my pc (with win 2k) i get this error shown at the screen.

After a clean installation i installed the divx codecs and everything worked fine.

But after installing MS VC++ 6.0 it's giving this error.

does anyone know why?


(also with other programs suchs as espxe i get "errors", when trying to config video/audio/cd - It just ask if i want to debug :S )

I don't remember exactly what is going on, but the debugger in VC++ starts to catch all breakpoints left in any application using DirectX. It also happens when you have the debug version of DirectX installed and enabled from the DirectX SDK. It has nothing to do with 2k or the DivX codec. I had the same problems when I tried to use my tv tuner while the debug version of DirectX is enabled. I don't remember if switching , in the DirectX control panel icon, from debug to retail works, as I wiped my computer clean.

thanx for the reply i fixed it yesterday it was the SDK.

NEVER INSTALL THE SDK DEBUG VERSION => GO RETAIL!

The debug-version tends to find memory errors no matter where. I just ignore it...it isn't too annoying.
