Dissapeering textures in Conker's BFD

Hello all, I posted this in another conkers thread yesterday, but I don't know if anybody looked at it because the thread was essentially a different problem.

When I'm playing Conker's Bad Fur Day, and the camera get's too close to a texture, the texture dissapeers and I can see right through to the ground.

I have tried messing around with most of the setting in the video plugin (Default one that comes with 1.4), including force Depth Compare and it doesn't seem to help at all. I tried chaning resolutions, color depths, AA options, Frame Buffer.

I'm about to try the Z-buffer occulling option (this makes it so stuff doesn't get rendered if it can't be seen.. this sorta makes sense but I doubt it will help)

Here is a screenshot, this happens pretty much everywhere in the game, and it's very hard to ignore.

Edit: I guess I should post my system specs.
Athlon XP 1700+
512 ram
Geforce 2 GTS (detonator 29.42 drivers)
Windows XP Pro

Edit 2: Searching around the message board I see this is a pretty common problem, and one user states it's a limitation of direct3d.. If anybody can verify this just go ahead and say, yeah it's broke in direct3d so i can stop looking for a fix :)

Tried it with Jabo's 1.3 D3D6
this problem is gone, but I get big blocky shadows now and overall decreased performance and image quality :(

I fixed it!

Ok.. fixed it.. Had to change it from D3d T&L HAL to D3d HAL.

I notice a little slowdown on anything over 1024x768.. but at least it's playable now!!

Whoo hoo!

Now I wish I new how to close a topic.

Yeah Direct 3D T&L causes lots of weird issues mostly with disappearing floors.

No 18..

Could you please post a screen shot of the problem you are having.. also.
List your computer specifications including cpu speed, amount of ram, video card and also list your video card driver version.

You may want to try PJ64 version 1.4.. doubt that will work..but who knows.

If this helps, here are my settings under the video card plugin setup, and it works for me.

Display tab:
Rendering Device: Direct 3D HAL
Windowed Resolution: Shouldn't matter
Full Screen Resolution: Shouldn't matter
Buffer display mode: Transfer memory
none of the boxes checked

Emulation tab:
RSP code simulation: RSP SW 2.0X
Geometry Transforms: Automatic
Texture format: 16 and 32 bpp
none of the boxes checked.

Advanced tab:
Frame buffer emulation: None
none of the boxes checked.

Let's see.. what else.. that's all i can suggest at the moment.. I want to say that i'm not to experienced with n64 emulation so I probably won't be able to help much. But post what I asked for and I'll see if I can help
