Disable internal geometry?

Ok, i noticed turning this option on fixes some polys not clearing properly and fixes the polys from skewing all over the place in games like pilot wings and crusin exotica. Now, what exactly is this disabling? and will this negatively affect other games? and does this whole mess have anything to do with the fact that im still using a god awful RIVA TNT2 PRO?

"Disable internal geometry" means "use external geometry" (wait a sec!). Internal is the plugin's own super-leet-custom-hand-coded-for-n64-games-by-Jabo transforms engine, External is yer bog standard DirectX transforms engine. Internal is supposed to work all the time (it's got better with each version of PJ64) so you aren't "supposed" to need external in v1.5, but there might be places where you do (you seem to have found some) hence the option, plus it can be faster and allows Hardware TnL (DX7+). Yes using this option certainly will have a negative effect on some games, because DirectX transforms are not as accurate, but there are exceptions. So er.. all i can say is keep this off except where you find it definately helps. As for the TNT2... to be honest i'm not totally sure if that's related, brain isn't working ATM... maybe i'll get back to you on that.

well, I noticed the negative affect on other games already. with this on in some games, certain polys are WAAAY off center, and some dont appear at all.

I also just noticed that the weirdness with pilotwings (i cant say for crusin exotica as it wont work at all with the 1.40 plugin) doesnt happen with the old 1.40 plugin... whats with that?

the graphics in Crusin exotica are perfect for me with the 1.5 plugin, but the game does have the "pausing" problem. When using the 1.4 plugin, much of the gfx are displaced.

I've never disabled internal geometry, I guess I just don't play games that work terribly for me...
