direct3d device creation failed

I get the message "direct3d device creation failed" when playing ssbm on any version of dolphin.

Here is my system:

AMD Opteron 2.8 Ghz
AMD Opteron 2.8 Ghz

Note: I do not have dual core, but two seperate single cores running

4gigs RAM

Nvidia Quadro FX 1500 ( comparable to a 7950)


This is a really solid ssytem using x64 bit OS( I have x32 dualboot also)

How come its not working?

Look into your GFX settings and choose device type as HAL (hardware accelaratet) if its not and disable Antialiasing from 6x if it is.
Im not sure but does Quadro FX support shaders? AFAIK should it does but maybe you need something like a special driver (?)
And please tell us which dolphin version you try.

I would recommend a ATI the NGC ran on ATI card i have a ATI it runs better then my nvidia.

I have the same problem with an ati 9600 pro card under windows XP 32 bit
