Different Ogre battle HELP!

Ok i've noticed there has been many problems with this game but i have got ther background to work Yes but the game runs sluggish and the the main different problem is that the characters (their faces,bodies) are totally black and like squarish! I am using PJ v.1.5 and Rice plugin v. 5.6.0. and yes i did do the copy file thing but what else do i need to make the game run smoothly and why are the characters black and covered with squares? PLZ help me i appreciate it

Looks like probably sucky video hardware. Which video chipset do you have?

yea its probably the video but is this a problem because of my video card...cuz i mean i can run other n64 games fine and other things that seem to have a good graphics without the need of a good video card and heck i could even run PSX emulation so whats the real prob?
