Default plugins wont work?

I have installed Project64 and it ran the game i wanted it to, fine but when i quit and cam back i got the error messages that all the default plugins werent found. I later found that the plug ins were in the correct plug ins folder. I even installed different plugins and it wouldnt read them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Specs.
Nividia Geforce 8600 GT 256MB
2 GB RAM
Intel dual core 4300 1.8ghz
windows xp

I was having the exact same problem, but when I switched my desktop's bit depth to 16 it worked. Try that?

ok i found the problem, i had copied the startup logo thing to my desktop thinking it would be a short cut but actually it cut it off from the plug in files.

LOL, the programs default settng searchs for the plugin folder in the same as the app.

right click the main exe and drag to the desktop, then release and select copy as shortcut
