DCEmu Hacked

Category: <b>Site</b><br><br>Hi all, along with posting emulation news here i also have my own website DCEmu which is a website focusing on Homebrew, Gaming and Console Hardware News etc.

Last week the site was hacked on monday, the hackers or script kids for want of a better word redirected my site to theirs, luckily it was only a redirect and no damage. Bluecrab one of my admin fixed that.

However on tuesday another bunch of script kids not only redirected the site but deleted half the files on the server, i pray Martin has a decent and recent back up of the site, time will tell.

For now because DCEmu is down the site is being forwarded to Gaming and Gadgets.Com and im posting all my news there until the return of DCEmu.

Now most importantly to all fellow webmasters out there and it seems especially those using Vbulletin 4, please make sure you patch the recent exploit that these hackers breached.

Btw, I tried to visit dcemu.com which is the backup site, now that has been hacked to and is redirecting to a different hacker forum. Don't these lamer asshole script kiddies have anything better to do than sitting in momma and poppa's basement vandalizing others hard work just because the site may be insecure? I don't give a fuck whether they want to let me know if my site is insecure or not, leave it the fuck alone. This is no different than leaving your front door unlocked or open while you are home, a vandal takes it upon himself to walk in and spray graffiti all over your walls, and then saying your house is insecure just because you left your door open or unlocked while you were home. It just doesn't work like that, in reality they would likely get severely beaten or shot in the worse case scenario or they would be arrested and jailed for entering someones home and vandalizing the place. But I guess anonymity gives everyone the right to do whatever they want without consequence which is why I hope there is a way to easily track down and apprehend these hacker/script kiddie idiots in the future.

:Edit: Just checked the site and it's been hacked again. God damn hackers, can't they get a freaking life and stop being dicks by vandalizing everyone's stuff?! >_<
